When course owner Cathy Harbin bought Pine Ridge Golf Course in Paris, Texas, there were virtually no women golfers.
Bringing together just two former female players over lunch, they discussed how to get more women, families and couples playing.
The Ladies League of two quickly became six, then 12, then 24 and then just kept growing.
“Now, they don’t just play golf together on Thursday nights, they are a support team for each other,” says Cathy Harbin. “It is no longer a golf group, it is a community.”
