Climate change means golf courses, more than ever before, need to demonstrate and communicate good environmental practice – and the superintendent is the best person for the job.

That’s the view of Elizabeth Guertal, Professor of Turfgrass Management and Soil Fertility at Auburn University, Alabama.

“When we talk about the environmental benefits of golf courses, the superintendent – he or she – is one of our best environmental disciplinarians,” says Prof Guertal.
