‘Back2Golf’ safely in the United States

News

Golfers are teeing it up safely in the US thanks to new ‘Back2Golf’ guidelines.

The operational playbook is the result of a collaboration between leading golf organizations and the Centre for Disease Control (CDC) and is helping more than 16,000 golf facilities respond to the coronavirus pandemic

Jay Karen, CEO of the NGCOA, said the guidance to golf courses was born out of a simple question: “If the CDC ran a golf course, what would it do to keep employees and golfers safe?”

Armed with expert knowledge and insights, a three-stage plan was developed, aligned to the US government’s economic recovery strategy, helping courses to reopen nationwide with uniform safety protocols.
