Women's Golf Day 2022

Today marks Women's Golf Day (WGD) – the global movement set up to engage, empower and support females through golf.

Starting in Australia and ending in French Polynesia, WGD events will take place globally throughout the 24-hour period.

The events allow a simple and accessible platform on which to build foundational skills in the game, engaging women in an empowering initiative that creates global impact from a local level.

WGD was founded by Elisa Gaudet in 2016 – the same year Syngenta’s research pointing to a $35billion opportunity in increased women’s participation in golf was released.

WGD allows clubs and venues to create and customize their own WGD experience, with the price varying depending on location.

Participants are encouraged to wear red and white, and share content from the events to social media.
