Since the release of Golf & Social Media: Sustainability, Syngenta has highlighted the need for golf course businesses to "speak up" about the sustainable practices they are engaged in day in, day out to challenge the negative perceptions on social media about golf's relationship with the environment.
Sand Ridge Golf Club near Cleveland, Ohio is doing just that, spearheaded by its Director of Golf Course Operations, Ian Gallagher.
Ian documents the club's sustainable practices on social media and was awarded the Super Social Media Conservation Award by Golf Course Industry magazine earlier this year.
We caught up with Ian to find out more about what he does, who he's communicating with and how others like him could get started.
